Well, ClUAS-ers, any of ye check out Bonnie Prince Billy in Whelan's last night or heading there tonight? Thought it was a really good gig despite not really knowing what to expect from him. Played a great set and there was a wide variety of instruments put to melodic use. Hell, there was even a bit of banter with the crowd at the end!

Saw him in Galway on Monday and it was ace. Really nice harmonies with them 4 ladies from Harem Scarem. They could definately record something nice together.

Here's a review from The Guardian of his Glasgow gig. Pretty much sums up Whelan's. Cool to hear that the rehearsals were recorded! http://arts.guardian.co.uk/reviews/story/0,,1755357,00.html

I'm very blue that I didn't get tickets to go see the boy. Saw him twice before in Vicar St and he was outstanding each time. I'd love to have seen him in a smaller venue like Whelans. To re-itterate, I'm blue!!!
