Yo Just wondering did anyone see Leya on the View last night? I thought it was quite cool but then Im a long term convert! It was a chilled out affair last night - gareth on the double bass, hammy on the brushes ,ciaran on the acoustic and mike on keys- with one of their mates guesting on cello... Just wondering what you thought and just being brave enough to open it up to the vultures - (joking of course!)

I thought the singer had a good voice. Wasn't crazy about the song though but if that's indicitive of what they're like I can see them doing ok.

have heard the band name a lot but that was first time hearing their music, sounded alright, you say it was chilled maybe it was a bit too chilled not sure it would be my thing, i'd have to hear more of their stuff really i suppose. The guys in the band looked older than i had imagined them to be, have they been around a while?

yeah thought it was alright, the song was not particularly memorable (i'm struggling to recall the refrain) but they certainly seemed to know what they were doing musically and his voice was very good. as the camera panned around and i saw the set up they had i expected it to sound better than it did - just don't think they utilised the instruments they had. i didn't change channel like so they had something!

They usually are a more full on electric guitars kinda combo - all around 27-28, which aint that old - so I claim anyway being of a similar vintage... Supportin' Snow Patrol in Dublin castle soon so some people may see them there They are very much an album kind of band - if you understand what I mean - but this grows on you a lot! Thank you at least for being constructive in your criticism! Check it out below anyway Cheers M http://www.rte.ie/tv/theview/ Scroll down and click on "Watch the clip"
