Anybody see them in Tower Recs today doing an in-store? They sounded quite good and packed the place, but maybe that was just school kids and people on their break.

I believe that they've got quite a decent fanbase. Drew a surprising crowd when they played last years Oxegen according to a mate of mine who was working as a stagehand.

Yeah I caught them at Oxegen last year. They were very impressive and lively on stage.

Have heard the new single - quite good - wouldnt be mad into that type of thing but they have a quite poppy Kaiser Chiefs thing going on so expect the teenage masses to be well in to it!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they just a bunch of rugger playing boneheads who were going to use Daddy's SSIA money to pay for their first record (their words, not mine)

Didn't know much about them. Nice enough fellas, weren't exactly jumping out of their skins with enthusiasm when we had them in the other morning but sometimes bands are just nervous and it's hard to know what to really make of them. But the important thing is they played an incredibly good live version of Trouble. Nailed the harmonies and group vocals - sounded really good. And then they were gone.

Being fellow Mullingarians, I may be a bit biased, but sure what the hell, I think they're great. Not the most original band in the world, but they're good at what they do, and they've a fair few "killah choons" as well.

Sindo yesterday and The Late Late show on Friday. All this does beg the question though what will they do with SSIA money now that they don't need it for the record?
