Still haven't made my mind up to go yet. Was impressed when he opened for Iron and Wine and the Gospel of Progress is a very good album but the one that came out last year wasn't that great.

i saw him in Kilkenny at the roots festival and he was brilliant. one of the best gigs i was at last year, without question. maybe it had something to do with the setting - oddball lounge bar at half five in the evening - but he blew everyone away.
can't go this time, but would reccommend him.

I'm not sure either because his 'The Baby & The Satellite' album wasn't great. Although Holly Throsby is opening for him.

i think the baby and satellite album was a reissue... the gospel album is his most recent work (i think) - 'tis good - hope to make it along on friday

Yeah, definitely going along. Gonna stick on Gospel Of Progress now to remind myself how good it is. Going with a mate who was at the Blue Aeroplanes there last Sun, about 40 people turned up. Terrible gig apparently. We then spotted the Blue Aeroplanes singer at the Drive By Truckers. Ah, so that's what makes a good gig...;-)
