Anybody going to the gig tonight? Not mad about the new album but looking forward to them blasting out some old material.

I'll be there. Only got the lend of the new album from a buddy and gave it a spin yesterday as i perused the papers. Seemed a bit patchy on first inspection buy waaaay too early yet to decide. Apparently their live gigs are excellent and they seem like the sort of band that will blow the roof off of Whelans. Looking forward to it big-time y'all!

The new one has grown on me over the past week, though some choice tracks from Dirty South is what I'm really hoping to hear tonight! Very much looking forward to it. From what I've read, we should get a good 2 hours...!

Yeah, 'twas a belter alright! What else would ya be doin' on a Monday night? Enjoyed watchin' those two headbangers near the front of the stage wiggin' out too (one guy looked like a blond Jack Black). Looked like they were havin' a ball and were all rocked out by the gig's end. Oh .... and guess what! Went across the road to Anseo for a few pints afterwards and Pinky was doin' a DJ set (just playin some groovy tunes) and performing some of his tunes in between! I have to say, he's a great tunesmith.

Anybody know where I can get that song 'Grandaddy' that Patterson sang at the start of the encore?

According to his web-site it's from his forthcoming solo album. You can listen to a rough mix of the song by clicking on the link below. http://www.pattersonhood.com/listen.html

Cheers. I have his first solo album, which is pretty good. But he executed that song perfectly the other night.
