I've just figured out who the greatest influence is on our LATEST CROP OF INDIE HOPEFULS. just thought I'd share. * this post is party sponsored by hearing the lyrics "supermodel baby" in a Beat Poets song on myspace

I'm not sure I understand. Spinal Tap are the greatest influence on indie hopefuls? I would have thought it more likely to be Babylon Zoo, Jesus Jones, or Sigue Sigue Sputnik. Then again, maybe we're making the same gag!

Actually the single greatest influence on today's indie bands is The Ruttles (c'mon, its fantasy to aspire to The Beatles, but The Ruttles, thats another story)

i don't think there's enough drummers in the Indie circuit to accuratly emulate the Tap.

It's not directed at the Beat Poets. They are not a bad band. I'm just wondering why so many new bands try to wring themselves of artistry in favour of posturing. And s**t lyrics. And creativity. Just a thought. Don't hang me because I don't like something.

    It is a hip-hoppy name. It's a bit of a lame one, I always thought. KEROUAC'S HOMIES.
