Every second Wednesday, starting on February 1, we’ll be setting our room on fire with rawest sounds of indie rock from live bands from across Ireland, the UK and beyond. The sounds before and after the bands will be cast by special guest DJs brought from across Ireland and the UK backed up by members of the Bottletop Rock Sound Army. Here’s Our February Line Up February 1: Opening Night Bottletop Presents... The Holloways A just signed London 4-piece raising eyebrows somewhere between The Clash and The Libertines. They are currently on tour around the UK and provided support to Babyshambles at their recent sold out KOKO Gig in London’s Camden Town. DJs – FROG DJ Army: These chaps have played to thousands at their Saturday night residency at Tottenham Court Road’s Mean Fiddler. London’s FROG night is a bee hive of the London indie scene but, these chaps are hot not just around London and the UK but have recently toured Italy in their own right - and now they are ours, all ours! February 15: Bottletop presents... Levelload A boy and a girl collide one night under Tokyo’s neon sky. They stay up for hours fighting it out over Blondie and The Ramones. Boy plays the guitar, so girl dusts off her bass and after a few riffs, suddenly, it all just makes perfect sense. A few weeks, a bunch of cool, tough-as-f**k songs and one long plane journey later, and they’re ready… Revved up scuzz pop landing in Dublin with a lethal weapon for the arsenal of all you Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Le Tigre fans. DJs – Stuart Plimsoles: Stuart plays with the Artrocker DJs and their reason d’etre is a brilliant no wave and new wave punk and death disco sound. For those in the know, Artrocker have been hosting unforgettable rock nights across London for years. Sometimes they play stuff you haven’t heard but be glad you haven’t because there is no time like the first time.
