What did people think of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah last night? I felt myself feeling a bit old and wanting to tell the annoying students on my right to calm the f**k down. Pitchfork has a lot to answer for. Good gig, though a bit more interaction with crowd wouldn't have gone amiss.

Clap Your Hands Say Meh, they were what I expected them to be after hearing lots of live reports. The good stuff was good, but never great, the stuff that wasn't was really quite bad. What was with the "Satan, Satan, Satan" stuff, that was funny. Preferred Dr. Dog, 4 lumberjacks and a 16 year old dressing like Tom Waits, good fun.

I was quite dissappoined indeed I'd heard that they were quite hit or miss live But my God Sound was awful Vocals were waaaay too low The musicianship just wasnt there and of course to top it all off it was in the f**king Village So instead I left early and headed up to ALEKO @ Psychotic Reaction who knocked the b****x outta me! ...... with their music that is! Deadly show.

I was really disappointed. I love the album, but they just seemed knackered out live. The sound was muddy as f**k, his vocals didn't work, the crowd was really bad, there was no interaction, and the whole place only basically warmed up when Upon This Tidal Wave Of Young Blood came on. Very strange encore too. Anyway, the whole gig just didn't do it for me, is what I is gettin at.

The highlight was the cover of 'Helpless' in the encore. At least they pulled that off right.

that's true Gar - that completely worked. I regret missing the support band now, because everyone seems to be raving about them.
