i was listening to Love is here by statsailor today and it occured to me that i really like it, which isnt remakable in and of itself (some may disagree) but ther reason i really like it is that it reminds me of weekend trip in belfast a few years back when i was in college which was perhaps my best wkend of four years in college. what two albums that you've heard, that you ideally own have been most affected by other circumstances? just two. mine would be, starsailor as above. i suspect i like it alot mre than i would if i had not bought it that weekend in belfast. the other album is Feast of Wire by Calexico. i liked ait alot, then got it as a present the day before i broke up with this girl i loved. i listened to it all that day. i couldnt listen to it again after those few days, for a bout a year. i still dont like it as much as i think i would if it didnt have such horrible associations. what albums would you pick?

Ah yess I would pick Master of Puppets by Metallica. Bought it in Galway, which was a pretty good laugh. Then when I got home my bro and his mates were drinkin in the gaff (the parents were away). and when one of them was leaving he gave me bottle of Cider, about 3/4 full. I drank it and listened to the album. It was great. Later I bought the tab, and learned to play bass off that album. It was wierd to have people impressed by the fact I could play Battery. Still listen to it now and again, strap on the bass and rock along. Deadly. The other one is Grace by Jeff Buckley. Similar to that Feast of Wine story. Got it from a girl I loved. Then we broke up. Havent listened to it since. Though I'd still play Alleluila (???) at house party's when I'm sufficiently drunk. More bittersweet stories please............

I suppose if I had to narrow it down to two they would be Josh Ritters 'hello starling' and oasis 'whats the story....'. Both for very different reasons. I bought the 'hello starling' album when I started fancying my best friend. Of course being the stupid girl she was she kept giving me the I dont want to spoil our friendship bulls**t. It took me three months of hard sell, silent treatments, fighting and bribery to finally change her mind. I thank this album for cheering me up everyone of those days and keeping me sane. (We are going out nearly three years now) The oasis album sums up my college life for me. The whole 'mad for it...' thing. It just seemed to strike a chord with me. Right place, right time. Although I tend to cringe bout it now I still cant deny the part that album played in my life

You're not a songwriter by any chance are you ? There's a double album's worth of material right there.
