I'm just bemused as to how Jack Johnson can be in a category , and Sufjan Stevens and Jose Gonzalez can't.

well they'd have to keep on making up more categories and sure by the end the show would run over 5 days and everybody would be upset!

who really gives a curse about these awards anyway??
in 2000 when paul mccartney decided he wasn't going to bother his arse showing up and accepting a "lifetime achievement" award he had received already on three different occaisions from the same crowd as part of the beatles, with george martin and on behalf of john lennon they gave it to the spice girls.
another thing, lisa stansfield won a number of these a couple of years ago as did mick hucknall.......
they are nothing more than the "heat" or "ok!" awards in brit music....hence robbie williams has 500 of em....

Robbie Williams has actually built a wing of his castle out of old brit awards.

looks like they've done the usual "lets add one cool alternative act to this category to show we're really with it"

Would love to sit down with the people who nominate these acts and say: "eh, hi... there is this band from Birmingham roight, and there are 4 of them roight, and they are pretty good roight, and just thought I would tell you, cos you are apparently completely f**kin blind... anyway, you can look them up at www.editorsofficial.com
Why, every year, why, do I even bother getting upset by these crap awards.
