Death Cab For Cutie just announced details of their European tour, and its a busy one too. But there's no Irish date. Surely Dublin has a bigger market than Brussels or Nottingham? Anyone pissed off by this?

Dublin may be larger than them but you have to factor in the cost and time required to get the band and their gear over here.

I know this is an incredibly boring thing to highlight, but I'll try to keep the "Eddie Hobbs-isms" to a minimum. Not only is Ireland stuck out on the edge of europe making it expensive to get here, it's also expensive to STAY here. Ireland is a stupidly expensive place these days, why would a band want to spend a night in Ireland when the same cash gets you merrily trashed in Spain, Italy or some Eastern European country? If you desperately want a band to visit, offer to put them up and feed them? Be warned, roadies have endless stomachs!

Yeah, I detest the Village. Has to be the worst venue in the world: crap sound and lighting, tacky design, no ambience, plus the main entrance is to the right of the stage and a ridiculous walkway to the toilets to the left of the stage...what's that all about???? Awful, awful, awful....
