O DEAR GOD NOOOOOOOO! Bloc Party are taking over the world and I'm not one bit happy about, mainly because Kele whasshisname seem's to have had a personality bypass and a sense of humour bypass. Takes himself whh haay too seriously, something in Guardian recently about how he's not into people going overboard when having a good time ( I'm summarising here) Lighten up FFS.

Oh get over it. There are many many bands full of idiots out there. Silent alarm is a cracker of an album and to see them for free too?? You can't go wrong. Live a little

Apparently the majority of tickets are given to people who live in the immediate vicinity of the gig. If you really want to go to the Bloc Party gig than create a new profile with a Galway address. According to the Heineken website the After Party is being held in the GPO that Tuesday night. I'm particulary looking forward to this, especially since I DJ in the GPO on Tuesdays.

ah akablue and tommycat stop shooting water pistols... you both have your opinions. I didnt rate Silent Alarm as an album, one or two good songs but nothing of real substance in my view. However, i felt that they had the capability of coming up with a good album and think the proof is in the pudding on the new track "two more years" which i am very impressed with. Akablue have a listen to it and see what you think, its not converted me to Bloc Party but i was impressed enough to give them a second chance.

Listen to it ? I've seen them live and was suitably underwhelmed. They're too preachy for me, I know some quaters view them as the second coming almost, I just can't see it myself. We can't all like the same things....and I wouldn't dismiss them out of hand without even listening to them. I have and they don't do it for me at all. I wonder what are the odds on Kele running for Tory MP in a nice little constituency when he's finished with all that music malarkey ? Could be worth a flutter.....

i like them, but they come across as whiney and moany, which f*cking pisses me off. The seem to think they are so far above the other bands they're playing with... get on with it and make good music. no-one cares if you think people focus on the black aspect of your music. no-one cares that interviewers ask stupid questions.
