As fas as I was aware Wolf Parade were due to play Whelan's on Nov 27th. But on my ticket it says the date is Dec 10th. Anyone know the actual date? Or was it just a misprint from the WAV box office?

Tickets are on sale now? Excellent, I asked last Friday and they said they weren't.

This is getting confusing now. The Sub pop site has been saying the 27th for weeks, the Whelans site says the 27th but when I rang up to book a ticket the girl insisted that it was the 10th or the 5th or whatever. She was even nice enough to check upstairs for me and she confirmed the 5th. Anyone know anyone at MCD that could confirm the date?

I downloaded it from a google search! Entire album. Which is really bad I know. (and kinda strange that it was all up but can't find it now on google) It wasn't in HMV Henry St a week ago when I asked and I'm impatient. And I will buy it when it comes out....which was 24th Oct in Europe.

review of the album in today's Ticket magazine, looking forward to the gig whenever it's on!! I got tickets last Friday in Celtic Note and it says 27th on them. WOLF PARADE Apologies to the Queen Mary Sub Pop ***** Given the many connections between Wolf Parade and fellow Montreal residents Arcade Fire, comparisons are inevitable. Yet one listen to the soaring, dramatic, attractively ramshackle I'll Believe in Anything, and you can understand why Apologies to the Queen Mary is every jot the equal of Arcade Fire's Funeral. There are few pauses for breath on this energetic, loose-limbed, often gloriously unfocused outing, as both frontmen Dan Boeckner (the one who yelps a little like Kurt Cobain) and Spencer King (the one who doesn't) throw themselves into songs that shake, rattle and resonate with the kind of emotional noise which is often easy to create but difficult to sustain. Yet this splendid, spirited buzz is here at every turn, dominating the driving Shine a Light, spotlighting the breathtaking scope of Dear Sons & Daughters of Hungry Ghosts, and pushing the astonishing I'll Believe in Anything towards the finishing line. Get ready for some more big music. www.subpop.com

The album is in stock in Road Records today according to the latest newsletter. I still say they've destroyed "Dear Sons and Daughters of Hungry Ghosts", the EP version is astonishing.

I picked up the album over the weekend. At number 5 in tower charts. And after a couple of listens this morning, im hooked. Tickets booked for the gig and all. Actually had the tickets booked before id heard a note from them. If ye guys said they were good, i trusted ye :) Got a nice free Rough Trade sampler with 16 tracks on it with everything from arcade fire, supper furries to the veils, sun kil moon and cara dillon. Havent listened to it yet, but this practice is something that the music industry should consider doing more and more

If you dont, then turn to your mate beside you & natter away thru their set, only pausing to applaude the end of each song you didnt listen too http://artists.cpu.ie/bands/682/
