That seems like a bit of a f**ked up statement. While the comparison may not fit into the review, i dont think its fair to write off Amadou & Miriam like that. The album isn't hugely different to the previous one of theirs which i've heard, apart from feeling the (positive) effects of Manu Chao's production. And in all fairness he is hardly a big name within the "white middle class" being much more popular in Latin countries. I think the point he was trying to make is that "Dimanche a Bimako" is an album which succeeds in being eclectic while Devendra's doesn't.
