Postal Service are class class class - electro with those lovely subtle indie boy/girl vocals. I seriously recommend you get their album Give Up. One of my favs.

I've only heard the Death Cab... EP and I have to say that the Postal Service album is far superior but perhaps the EP isn't their best work.

Being a massive Death Cab fan, my mate would tell you to get their "Transatlanticism" album. Postal Service is very good but after a while the man's wordiness and vocals begin to grate. I have a similar problem with the Stars album actually...

apologies for going slightly off topic but i'm with norman on that stars album - a bit too sugary sweet and the bloke's vocals irritate me... ...still might try and get to the gig to see... ...can't add anything on death cab i'm afraid

I'm a huge fan of Death Cab and I reckon the new one is their worst album (still great though) get 'We Have The Facts And Are Voting Yes' thats their best in my opinion. Seriously though, get all their albums and The Postal Service stuff too because its all fantastic.

thanks everyone for all that feedback. Really like "Plans" and will get the others people mentioned. Just intrigued because while i had obviously heard/read the name, I had never heard their music before.

What mr. mick said. Except the new one isn't still great. It's a yawnfest. Get "We have the facts...".

I'm a big fan of Death Cab aswell. I have all their stuff (except I'm STILL waiting for my copy of the 'John Byrd Ep' to be shipped over'), all the Postal Service stuff and a Death Cab For Cutie dvd. All of their albums are great and would have to second Mick in syaing that 'We Have The Facts And Are Voting Yes' is the one to get. 'Plans' is much more of a grower than the others (also their first full length on a major label) and is still quite excellent. I'd recommend the dvd to to anyone who is fans of the band or Ben Gibbard.

as I've probably said before, I'm a massive DCFC fan. I prefer trans... to plans, but if anyone doesn't have the latter: http://www.greatestjournal.com/users/sina/11482.html

Transatlantacism is a special, special album.Very easy listening. emotional album aswell. one of my favourites. For anyone who doesnt know, Postal Service are a different band who use DCFC's lead singer as their vocalist. More electro and experimental than Death Cab. Really Good Album.Id recommend either album.
