With alot of the same bands playing again at this year's Hard Working Class Heroes Festival, what newer acts are being neglected the chance to play? Here's a few to consider: Havana Calling Driver Substance Wicker Colm Lynch Butterfly Explosion Play Lucera

would defo agree with Driver and especially Substance and AFAIK they applied to it, funny thing is that they played it the year before so I cant see why they wouldnt be deemed good enough ah well I shall be at HWCH to see some new bands I've been meaning to see

kinda amazed that such bands as The Walls and Sack are on the bill. they were on last year and probably the year before too. There are some bands i would like to see but feel the organisers are taking the piss a little. i know they have bills to pay but Idlewild? Mundy? Paddy Casey?? Its all gone a little, i dunno, corporate. fair play to the organisers for getting off their bums and putting it together but its certainly not what it was in year 1 or 2. anyone else got any observsations on this?

Yea i know what you're getting at there.. about the bigger acts but (as much as i hate those three you mentioned there) i think its kinda cool for fans of those bands. Its like here...pay this very decent amount for a great weekend of music and as a little extra present we'll have some internationally recognised artists just to add some spice. I wont be at ANY of those gigs mind... I'll be keeping it real.

MGS played last year and from what I've heard they might be down in Gitmo at the minute being "re-educated".

Aaaahhh now I get it. I’m a bit slow off the mark this morning. Funny! I know the lads applied for it, but for whatever reason didn’t get chosen. A shame really.
