Is location a factor .? Would you travel to the fringes of the city for a good room..? Tell me what you think makes a good rehearsal studio..? What would you have in the studio if you had the money and location...? What would make you come back time and time again..? any help you can give would be great.... Cheers.

1/2: Location aint a factor for us as we have our own transport. 3: We found a nice little studio close enough to all of us on the northside but the sound inside isn't the may west so we don't go there anymore. Mind you it is only open a short while but the wooden walls don't help if there's a drummer there. I suppose a decent PA, amps(depending on car space, we might bring our own) and the bare bones of a kit is all we look for as we bring the rest ourselves (again lucky to have own transport). 4: A safe car park! (again only handy for drivers), clean toilets are hard to find these days and maybe a kettle for the oul tea! And then the obvious: decent PA large enough to project over the drums, and the bases of a kit, most drummers would (should) bring their own hardware. The way I see it, If your gonna use your own gear on stage you might as well reherse with it! Lock ups would be handy too for those regulars who couldn't be arsed loadin/unloading cars everytime they meet up. 5: The guys running the place we use now are pretty cool as well, relaxed about opening times and cancellations and the like as these things DO happen due to work and alcohol related incidents. I understand a business has to be run but keeping the regulars happy is also important. We try to be as reliable as we can and give as much notice as possible for cancellations. Hope that'll do.. You thinkin of setting up or just curious?
