aye, i had to go to a friends gig, pretty bummed i missed childish. But, Richie Havens is playing on the 6th of July, maybe not the same type of music but pretty kick ass none the less, (and hes got a groovy beard)

Which brings us to...great groovy beards in music. Three top beards to kick off with... a) John Lennon b) Steve Earle c) Cat Stevens

Yeah, I thought this thread was about Billy Childish too, rather than facial hair? This place is getting as bad as the NME. Anyway if you liked Billy Childish and you haven't already, check out http://damagedgoods.co.uk/ where you'll find records from Billy Childish' various different projects and partners in crime including Billy Childish himself, The Bluff Medways, Thee Headcoats, Thee HeadCoatees, Holly Golightly, Ludella Black, Kyra Rubella and Sexton Ming. Have I left any of his posse out? Probably. Anyway at the very least get yourself a copy of one of the cheap Damaged Goods samplers. 28-30 tracks on each one for the price of a pint and a packet of crisps.

yes it was a brilliant gig - great back to basics no nonsense band. it certainly looked as if billy hurt his hand at the end.

yeah a snapped string going through a finger would cause some pain alright....luckily there was a white rasta doctor in the crowd to look after him....at the time i thought it was still part of the show, and that the show would continue. unfortunatley he was actually in pain.....ah well all good things have to come to an end i guess
