THE LEMONHEADS and GANG OF FOUR are to join the likes of THE STOOGES and BELLE AND SEBASTIAN by taking part in a unique season of gigs this autumn Presented in association with NME’s sister magazine Uncut, ‘Don’t Look Back’ will see a selection of veteran artists revisit a classic work, played on the night in its entirety. The shows will take place in various venues across London from August to October, and additional dates will be announced in the coming months. The Lemonheads play ’It’s A Shame About Ray’ at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on September 15. The Stooges will play ‘Fun House’ at the Hammersmith Apollo on August 30. September 16 sees Mudhoney play ‘Superfuzz Bigmuff’ plus a selection of early singles at Koko. The following day, Mum/Cat Power play ‘Finally We Are No-One’ and ‘The Covers Album’ at The Barbican. On September 21 at Koko, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion play ’Orange’. Gang Of Four run through ’Entertainment’ at the Barbican on September 24. September 25 sees Belle And Sebastian run through ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’ at the Barbican. This show has sold out. And finally, Dirty Three and Sophia play ‘Ocean Songs’ and ‘The Infinite Circle’ at The Barbican on October 5.
