Do you have any idea how condescending that last post was? People will get drunk at gigs if they bloody-well want to, if you dont like that, then stay at home and keep typing away on your keyboard. Live gig = Drunk people. Get over it. Hope "Rich" could hear himself scratch with all the moaning you were doing about all the drunk whistlers...

In fairness, I think he's referring to a particular kind of drunk gig-goer. Like the guy at Richmond Fontaine a few weeks ago who decided he'd have a loud conversation with the singer between every song and ask him about unrelated s**t. Sample: Song ends. Crowd cheers. Punter: "You sound like Steve Malkmus." Singer: "Yeah?" Punter: "But you're better than Pavement." Singer: "Cool. I painted Steve's house."

It was only one. Thats the guy's name by the way, he's opened gigs with "Hi I'm Buck 65 but you can call me Rich" so if it's all the same to you I'll call him that if I feel like it. And it's one thing for someone to have a few drinks at a gig and get a bit merry and then there was this dude, who downed the whole bottle of JD that he snuck in with him (small bottle mind) then smashed it on the floor when he finished it, started shoving people who were trying to ignore him when he started talking to them, started shouting randomly and in general acted like a complete c**t. And judging by the amount of people who were staring at him with daggers for eyes I wan't the only person that he pissed off.
