Anyone here go ? I got free tickets courtesy of the Irish Times. Thoroughly enjoyable gig. All of the album plus a few other songs I didn't recognise but which sounded just as strong. Lee Mavers certainly doesn't believe in that whole "let's break down the barriers between the audience and the band, man !" vibe as he literally didn't say one word to the audience from start to finish of the gig. That small criticism aside it was a good night. Oh, apart from the knob end bouncer on the balcony who insisted in standing in front of the balcony rail, right in the centre aisle, and occasionally blocking our view of the stage.

Yea was there, Wasn't missin that, I've been praying for that for years! Never got to see them at Feile. Really enjoyed it. The two lads had those unmistakable harmonies perfect. Not a word of banther out of them though! Except "ahright, thanks Ta-ra" at the end of the night in that Scouser accent, though I didn't go to hear them talk. Was that the original drummer? He looked very young. That poor Roadie got some God awfull abuse though didn't he?

Yeah we were thinking the same about that drummer alright. It was pretty cool the way he was standing up most of the time.

yeah, it was good gig alright , I thought the poor sound took a bit away from the performance a little though. It really seemed to affect the vocals most. The Band were due on at 9:30 so im guessing they had some sort of technical problem or something. I did find it weird that Mavers said not 1 word to the crowd. Talked to a guy afterwards who had been following them since they started who said that Mavers always does that at his gigs ??? dunno how true or otherwise that is. John Power was back, with his big smiley head on him. Have to say both he and Mavers seemed well into it and enjoying playing. The new drummer is good, standing up ? sitting down ? The new guitarist Im not really sure about. Good night though.
