wanted to go - real bad! - but would've had nowhere to stay... well, not for free anyway. were you at the ray lamontagne gig, by any chance? would be interesting to see how he'd compare, that gig in the village was awesome...

I have to say I wasnt at the Ray gig, heard from a few he was ace though. i'm still a little in shock after Fretwell last night, it was that brilliant. Even the usual Whelans 'talkers' couldnt take the shine off it. Sorry to say you missed one hell of a gig jmc lad !

Did you get to see him in Doyle's a few months back? He was fantastic. Had tickets for this and all but I wasn't able to make it.

nope didnt see him in Doyles but he was apparently great there too. A couple of mates of mine in the UK turned me onto him, they saw him in Nottingham I think and said its one of the best gigs theve ever been to, thats saying something from these lads. !
