God, what an awful song. And I don't mind Coldplay.
This sounds like Bryan Adams.

What??? How can you say that's an awful song??? No matter what you think of them, you have to concede that song is an absolute corker.
It's rare to find a band that can sustain the same level of high-quality songwriting over their first three albums, and Coldplay are one of those bands. THis lead-off single from the forthcoming album suggests that the new album might be their best yet.
Then again I suppose it's extremely uncool to say you like Coldplay these days.

I really like Parachutes and ROBTTH, but, I´m sorry, that song just sounds like a mashed rip off of ´clocks´

WHY can't people just say they like a song or a band on this board!

Of course they can, I've got nothing against coldplay either, I think they've got a few good tunes but that post was chock full of PR-speak.

Haven't heard it myself but I do remember being a bit underwhelmed
by the lead single from the last album and it's not uncommon for
bands not to release the best tracks as the first single nowadays.

People will buy the album anyways, even if the first single is mediocre.
They have to save the best song for the 3rd or 4th single when the album sales and publicity is waning.
