Anyone seen this film yet? I really enjoyed it although it did have a
touch of the M. Night Shymalayans about it. Christian Bale turns in a
fine performance and it's great to see Jennifer Jason Leigh in a
big(ish) movie again. Recommend.

Was thinking of going to that but opted for 'Garden State', which is a simple but really good film. It is written and directed from that guy from Scrubs Zach Braff and stars Natalie Portman, Ian Holm and Peter Sarsgaard. I'd recommend it to anyone plus the soundtrack is great with alot of stuff by The Shins.

The Machinist is brilliant, DVD for the weekend I'd urge you to rent Dead Man's Shoes. A masterpiece. Profoundly bleak, but a masterpiece nonetheless.

Yeah when I went to London a few months ago, my brother and I happened to buy two tickets for this film called 'Dead Mans Shoes'. We went in and it was the premiere, everyone was in dresses and suits. A really great little indie flick with a good soundtrack. After the film, the director, producer and one of the actors did a Q&A which was really cool. But it's out now to rent and definetly worth the €4.95 or whatever it is to rent.

Since when did this become a film forum?

It's not a film forum but a discussion board forum called 'soap-box.'
If anyone else has any objections I'll never mention anything non-
music related again. Would that make you happy, Nesta?
ps. grow up!
pps. also loved 'dead man's shoes' when I saw it in the cinema.
Also saw 'vera drake' yesterday and it is very good too.

'Garden State' is good, if a bit twee. DVD of the month HAS to be 'I Heart Huckabees'. Probably my favourite film last year.

And here's one to avoid: 16 Years of Alcohol. It looked great, something along the lines of Trainspotting but with booze instead of drugs. It turned out to be pretentious w*nk though.
