Due to stupid procrastination on my part in getting tickets for the mighty Doves' gig in the Olympia, for the first time I ended up watching the gig from the dreaded 'Upper Circle'.What a deeply dispiriting experience. The band seems like 2 miles away, you can't see the visuals, in fact you feel isolated and cut off from the action down below. To add to my misery everyone seemed to be chatting amongst themselves. What's the deal there??? Why do these people shell out 30 euro or more to see a band they supposedly like and then spend the whole gig talking to each other, more or less ignoring the band they've come to see? Truly incomprehensible and extremely irritating. Dante's Fifth circle of hell had nothing on this place. Never again.

Ah yes the dreaded nose bleed section ! Recently went to see I Keano and missed out on loads of the action as it was close to the front of the stage which can't be seen from the upper circle , I agree a rubbish area in an otherwise excellent venue !
