I've been trying to contact the green Lizard for the past few days about booking a gig, but I can't get through. I'm guessing the place is still open as there giveamanakicka and the vaz are playing there tonight, and I've seen nothing on their sites to say it's been cancelled. I've tried ringing the venue at 01-4545-421, but no luck and i've tried a couple of websites (green-lizard.tk & greenlizardvenue.com) and nothing. So if anyone has played there, or knows any band that have played there or even on the off-chance that someone has a contact number for someone in the bar, i'd really really appreciate it!!! We're alos still looking for Dublin bands to play with us (swap gigs etc.), or bands in Limerick, Galway or Waterford. If you're interested, check out a few of our songs at thefallenmusic.com and www.thefallenmusic.com/takemeaway. BUT THE URGENT THING IS A CONTACT FOR THE GREEN LIZARD!!!! it was shut down due to noise complaints by their neighbours. i think large mound were due to play there. they might have another contact number.

Bastards!! Cheers for that, any info on venues that wouldn't be booked up until after xmas anyone, or anyone looking for a support band around November??? Again, shower of bastrds

Yes, the Lizard is closed down at the moment due to soundproofing problems. They are working on it though and hope to sort it out soon. If you are looking for a venue you could try the Voodoo lounge. There is a guy called John doing the booking there now and you can contact him by going to http://www.toxicpromotions.net/ Finally Large Mound were due to play the Green Lizard around now all right but it got cancelled obviously. Forthcoming Mound gigs in Dublin are Tuesday 12th October, UCD. With The Redneck Manifesto and we're sorting out a headline gig in Dublin for mid-November. In the meantime hitting Cork, Limrock, Kilkenny, Belfast, and some other places probably ...

i was in the same boat as yersmelf trying to contact 'em, and it looked so good on the website. i feel your pain. it closed down alright, but i was in the vacinity the other day so i popped in. the young lady behind the bar told me that it closed "because the band he booked were too loud", but that it would re-open in about three weeks with smiley bolger at the helm. i know, i know.....

no, different Hugh ..... While I'm here 1) Green Lizard has now reopened with Smiley running things 2) Large Mound + Dudley Corporation + Yakuza - Crawdaddy, Nov 17th
