I got to see Dr.John last night and was blown away.
Pure funky would put put James Brown to shame

What was his show like? Had he got a huge backing band with him?
Got his newest album which is pretty decent

bloody brilliant gig
almost left in tears....
No brass section though.
Probably the best bass player I've ever seen with him.
The man just oozes cool and the voice is still perfect

i didnt see him last night but i did see him a few years back in spirit (which was then h.q.!!!) and i rate it up there with one of the best/funkiest gigs i've seen (funkadelic & arthur lee being among the others)
raging now that your sayin it was deadly, but money constraints would not let me go!!!

what a gig pure musical genius,the bass player was amazing but i thought the drummer went out of time a few times,considering i was talking to 2 mates after the gig both drummers who thought i was totaly wrong.what did use think

Why don't you write a review of the Dr. John gig for the website? Sounds like it was quite a night and deserves a write up. Get the lead out, deal? And I don't want to hear any of this 'ahh, I could never write one, couldn't do it justice' baloney.

Yeah I agree. The recent Dr. John gig should've got more publicity. He is such a great artist and one of a kind. I'd love to read a live review.
