I've heard a fair bit of Hype about The Things but I still haven't heard any of their music. Does anybody know anywhere on the net where I can listen to a few of their tunes? I'd also appreciate it if anyone could post some links to MP3s by The Chalets or any other domestic artists who are trying to provide a musical alternative to the current batch of mediocre Irish singer songwriters.

To roonus,
Thanks for the link. I was well impressed with the tunes. You probabably have most of the songs already but you might want to check out a compilation called Sex that came out last year. It's compiled of songs from Vivienne Westwood & Malcolm McClaren's Jukebox in the shop of the same name. It's got stuff by The Sonics, Screamin Jay Hawkins etc. I'd say it'd be right up your alley. Have you got a mailing list with info for gigs etc?
