If they do make a comeback, can they at least get a decent studio engineer and producer. That first boyzone album was REALLY bad. "No! really? boyzone in crap album shocker" I hear you cry sarcastically, but hear me out. This album set a new low for recorded music. Most modern boybands can at least get the songs recorded properly even if the songs themselves are crap.
My sister used to own the first album and I remember having to listen to it in its ENTIRETY on a car journey I thought would never end. The production and recording standards are so poor that I thought my ears would bleed. And no, I'm not a Jeff Lynne style studio perfectionist, I'm a Chicks on Speed fan for gods sake!
The real villian on this album was not Boyzone, who were clueless 16 year old monkeys or even arch nemesis Louis Walsh, but the substandard producers. Cheap tacky keyboards that Casio would be ashamed of! ARRRGGHHHH! even third division boybands can do better than this, how did this record even recieve airplay!
I'm still suffering from post traumatic stress disorder after that car journey, its was even worse than the time I wrapped my mums car round a concrete post!
