I don't know any in Dublin, however I reckon the first thing is to figure out is what you really want, then finding the right person will be easier
Do you want someone to shape your artistic direction and sound (like a budding Phil Spector), Or do you really just want an engineer to help you with the technical side of recording and mixing the tracks? If thats all you want, I'm sure a lot of commercial recording studios can sort you out in that department.
The other alternative is doing your homework about home recording, equipped with nothing more than 8 track recorder or PC (with software), a decent microphone and some imagination I reckon most people are capable of recording a decent demo by themselves.

Your right!
I think I need a studio, I have a very clear idea of the sound I want to create, but just need the musicans like a piano player and a guitarist, to create an Irish soul kind of a cross between alicia keyes and sinead o'connor.
I am very lazy so I just need to get my ass in gear but its just soooo hard when you know nothing about the Irish music industry or how to approach it, or who you need to know!!!and I'm not in the know. at all.
So any info would be greatfully appreciated................
Thanks for your reply
Pam

Hi ya,
Check this: www.morellorocks.com/resource
If you are a solo artist though, you can do it on a much smaller scale: all you need is a PC, software and a good mic.
If you decide to go for the producer I know a couple of good ones, drop me an email and I'll give you the contact details. Same if you want some advice, so probs
Good luck with your project
Take it easy
Alex
