I will be most certainly there. I'm a bit wary of the fact that it will be in the Point Depot but I don't care. Plus I love Ian Astbury, he's a legend.

Here, d'reckon he'll have a pair of leather trousers on? Old faded brown ones that lace up the sides preferably. Do you think we could arrange that if it's not already planned! Nobody could fill a pair of leather trousers quite like Jim but sure we'll let Astbury have a go! He's got loads of presence, a great voice too - couldn't think of a better man for the job.

no better man for the job or on the job i'd bet.
jim was good in leather pants but ian's just as good in my book,
i know you've already checked him circa electric in that rrrrrrrraccoon hat, said leather pants and nothing else but his long black hair,
incidentally that cracker of an album was produced by rick rubin a man of impeccable taste who currently produces -your hated-my loved lucious chilis.
i think you and i dromed could persuade him -if gangpressed-to wear a little something not so comfortable, between us, no problem
all together now -love (clothes) removal machine-from the top.

Mmmmm I'd say he'd take a good whipping Shewolf ha ha ha!
I like the video for the Witch, where they're running around the graveyard in a kind of Easy Rider style madness...think of the possibilities!

Leather trousers aside, Electric is an absolutely rockin album. My all time favourite hangover album. If that didn't wake you up, nothing will. As a matter of fact, I'm going to give it a spin right now.
Altogether now "Living in a shack in a one horse town..."

I've got me ticket for the "Doors" good, bad or indifferent - its too rare an event to pass up on. The Point is a soul-less crap hole but maybe we can suspend our disgust for a couple of hours to hear Krieger, Manzarek and Astbury try to recreate the atmosphere of a sisxties Doors concert. Its a tall order but reviews of the American concerts have been good. Check out this link:
