So its been confirmed that bowie and the darkness are confirmed for witnness. Good stuff. Apparently Heineken are sponsering it this year. I wonder will that mean cheaper pints ? Not likely i suppose.

i thought the reason it was changing from witnness to oxygen was because drink isn't allowed to sponser events anymore i don't remember who told me this but alas i believed them

Ahhh, I see it now..... Guinness......witnness Heinekein......oxygen A form of subliminal advertising. Rumours have it that Scrumpy Jack were pitching for the event 'Smack 2004'

of course you're all missing the fact that it's Oxegen not Oxygen. it seems too much of the Dutch amber necter has affected their spolling.

no its being sponsered by o2 this year. does that mean now that there'll be more on offer to drink than warm fizzy guinness? not that theres anything wrong with warm fizzy guinness. if heineken waws sponserin it wudnt it be called hydrogen?

Tickets for this are on sale this Friday - I wasn't going to go cos I was planning on going to Glastonbury instead but I still haven't heard back from the Glasto ticket info people - basically the way they have changed the ticket sales to deter touts for Glastonbury this year means that overseas people might have hassles getting through to the line - I mailed them to ask what overseas folk should do and they haven't got back to me...No Glasto ticket menas no festivals for me this Summer and I'll go on a rampage if that happens...Help!!! Has anyone any concrete info on buying Glasto tickets this year from Ireland?????

Eyeballkid any joy on news for overseas ticket buyers yet?? THe website aloud.com is only taking debit cards and I don't think Irish buyers can use them (Bank of Ireland etc said as much)besides which I don't have a poxy debit card so no go there - as for the phone line, i'm still waiting to hear back from their info desk - I've been trawling the festival forums for info on this and no one seems to know what the story is - does any1 have any info pleaseee??!!

Have you checked out www.virtualfestivals.com The moderator there is asking people to email him for details on international orders. Also some people are recommending paying by cheque or postal order. Hope this helps

just spoke to a lady at the glastonbury office and she said it's the same phone number for overseas sales (with int'l dialing code obviously). they are only accepting debit cards, but you can pay by cheque or postal order. check out www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk for phone nos. etc. good luck
