SUZIES ASHES:
The origin of Suzie’s Ashes lay in Berlin as far back as 2007. Beginning in the somewhat tormented mind of rock n' roll survivor Colm Rutledge, the quest to find the perfect blend of his first love, dance/ electronica, with his old pal rock n' roll is finally coming to fruition. Taking his signature riffs from former band, Dublin hedonists Humanzi, he bolts them onto industrial strength electronic beats.
Originally derived from loss and solitude, these torturous tunes ironically escalate into epic proportion, the type of which should feel very welcome on the dancefloor of any sweaty club.

DEAD SCHOOL (Cork)
So you go and see a band: a fairly unremarkable looking bunch who look reassuringly harmless. Unexpectedly, however, you walk out of the door with your head spinning; because School are one of the freshest bands on the Irish scene and are a 100 mph experience. This four piece alternative rock band that is creating a stir on the national scene. Dead School was formed in August and comprises of and Donal McDonald (vocals/percussion), James McDonald (guitar/drums /vocals), Cathal Maher (guitar/drums /keys) and Ruairi Dale (bass). Having spent an intense few months holed up in various flats and practice rooms writing the songs and honing their sound they are proving themselves as genuine talent. Influences: Killing Joke, Joy Division, Fatima Mansions, My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, The Horrors, Stone Roses, Whipping Boy. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dead-...049296
SEPTEMBER GIRLS:
September Girls
are a five piece girl band from Dublin, who formed as recently as September (the girls previous incarnation went by the name of Talulah Does The Hula), highlighting an infectious, dirty garage pop sound that you could easily mistake for coming directly out of the same Californian neighbourhood as Best Coast, retro, rough around the edges lo-fi fuzz pop. http://www.facebook.com/septembergirls
