The acts for the 2011 live at the Marquee were announced today, hard to believe its in its seventh year already! Its taking place from June 23rd to July the first. Acts include Elton John, Christy Moore, Bell X 1, Imelda May and many more be annouced. Anyone here thinking of going?

I won't be going to any of these. But I see they are getting the tickets on sale in the days before the budget.... Will be interesting to see if which show - if any?! - sells out first. Elton John's tix may start at 70 euros but they do up to 95 euros. Now that do be a price point to test the resilience of a recession time gig market.

Elton John has plenty of loyal fans that would be glad to pay those mad prices. I think he'll sell out alright, so will Imelda May. I can't see her current popularity going anywhere soon.
