SAT APRIL 17th @ The Retro Revival Club:
THEE VICARS w/
CHEAP FREAKS &
THE MIGHTY ATOMICS + guest Dee-Jays
upstairs @ Le Cirk Dame St. Dublin.
Doors: 9pm: Adm: €5
THEE VICARS: The band’s manic energy is palpable; they hit you with a jolt, almost like receiving an electric Shock. But then one would hope that would be the case if you were still aged just 18 and Playing raw rock’n’roll that is shot through with a punk and garage band aesthetic, whilst visually resembling The Jam in 1978 (but a whole lot better looking). Already they are coming on stage to Beatlemania-type screams from teenage girls!
One of the hardest working bands in the UK, they are constantly travelling around Europe and the UK. And their first tour of the USA is coming soon, including an appearance at a Vice Magazine music festival in Portland, Oregon. The Horrors chose them as support act for their first gig in a year for the live debut of the songs from their Mercury nominated album Primary Colours. And the Black Lips chose them as their European tour support during the summer.
During the coming months you won’t be able to help but take note of Thee Vicars!

'Thee Vicars are thee most authentic garage punk band this side of The Mummies, who they recently supported on a one off reunion show.' Vice Magazine
'Psychotic garage squall from Bury St. Edmunds quartet who scream and shout over a backdrop that melds Thee Mighty Caesars trash to Sonics/The Jam punk.' Mojo Magazine
'So garage you can park your car in them' Kruger Magazine
