An evening with Don Baker. Doors 8pm, Tickets 12EUR
Don Baker, a well-known Dublin blues singer-songwriter, first acheived fame in 1979 when asked onto the Late Late show. He was asked to write a song about inner-city Dublin and came up with 'Dublin's Inner City' which became a huge hit for The Jolly Beggarman reaching No.1 in the Irish charts. He has since built a wide reputation as a harmonica player, and is rated by many, such as Charlie McCoy and U2's Bono as the world's finest accoustic harmonica player. He is the only Musician to have held a Residency at the Olympic Theatre in Dublin.
On the 13th of November Don Baker will be bringing his authentic Blues sound to the intimate setting of The Purty Loft in Dun Laoghaire - this promises to be a special show so book early to avoid disappointment.
