Have the first album. I have to say that his voice really starts to grate after a few listens. I've developed an alergic reaction (of Stereophonic proportions). Also, the lyric "don't you know you've got your daddy's eyes, and daddy was an alcoholic" (or somrthing similar) doubles my resolve never to listen to it again.

Hmm you thought it was THAT bad!! You're entitled to your opinion and all but I have to disagree! Granted his voice in a cuple of the songs is quite irritating, he still has a pretty good voice! Alcholic is an alright song, again granted not great but the likes of track 1 "Tie Up My Hands"? It's a quality song, lyrics are quite good too eg. "I wanna hold you but my hands are tied I wanna stay here but I've been denied Lets watch the clock until the morning sun does rise"! The second album has a much better sound, you should try it out!

Hmmmmm, I saw Starsailor in support of REM in the summer of this year and I have to say I was very surprised at their live performance, it was far more vibrant than I had expected and all in all wasn't too bad. Still though, it didn't make me like the first album any more than I did (which was not at all). If the gig was going for a tenner I'd go, but I'm not going to pay 29 quid for a gig I probably won't like. Wouldn't mind hearing the new album out of curiosity though Q2

Well all I gotta say is you might be pleasantly surprised by the second album! It's more upbeat and energetic then the first! Their new single "Born Again" is a cracker!! Again you can hear some of their new tracks on the Dukebox on their site! Hmm it sounds like I'm on commission or something! I'm not by the way :-)
