I'd say a lot of people are heading to this for the support acts: David Guetta (number 1 in UK singles chart this week), Calvin Harris and Dizzee Rascal.

That said, €70 is fairly excessive for one show with only a handful of acts on the bill - for that price you could buy three or four Fat Frogs or a whole case of alcopops.

Is 70 euros a question of greed? I'd certainly never pay it for that line-up but I still think it's a bit too early to judge. If it manages to sell I wouldn't consider it greed (be it of the acts or promoter), I'd even be prepared to don my hat to them for judging the market to perfection. If however tix do not sell and they end up having to cancel, your claim that "greed is still rife" will be (as you excuse the pun) fully on the money.

Two things surprise me about this more than anything

    1. People still want to see Fatboy Slim

    2. Fatboy Slim still exists as a performing entity. I'd thought Norman Cook had finished up with that and had moved to his BPA alias?
Considering some folks will pay over €100 to see a couple of crusty old rockers play at a racetrack in Naas, I suppose €70 is about average for a "big" concert these days sadly. :(
