Ever since The Commitments belted out that immortal "roide, Sally, roide", the Northside music scene has been synonomous with hard work and lots of talent!

That's why The NEAR fm Sessions has dedicated itself to showcasing new, unsigned and emerging local bands on-air every Thursday nigth @ 7pm on NEAR 90fM.

Now, they're taking the show on the road (although admittedly, not too far), with TWO fantastic live music nights on 26th & 27th June at the Axis Theatre in Ballymun - supported by the BCI Sound and Vision fund. With four acts each night, and a fanastic atmosphere guaranteed, this brilliant innovation is sure to be a real treat for music fans everywhere!

The gig will be recorded and used in three upcoming Rockumentaries which will be broadcast on NEAR 90 fm this Autumn as part of the stations Music Specials.
