Coming up on Wednesday 14th of May, Skinny Wolves will be hosting a club night with New York City's favorite progressive psychedelic noiseniks, EX MODELS!
Hailing from the same label that brought you Chromatics, Glass Candy, Tussle, Erase Errata and Wolf Eyes amongst others and being specially invited on tour with Sonic Youth, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Tortoise, you know you are on to a great thing with EX MODELS. And if that isn't enough, they share members with Oneida, Marnie Stern, The Seconds, and Awesome Color!
Going from releasing the Talking Heads-esque 'Other Mathematics' LP (2001) to the genre-bending, ring-modulated album of Devo worship, that was 'Zoo Psychology' LP (2003) and then introducing us to their new "fundustrial noise" sound, combining extra loops and drum samples on the 'Chrome Panthers' EP (2005), Ex Models are about to blow our minds once again with their forthcoming "White Psychosis / White Dementia" LP.
Thurston Moore calls their new sound "a lovely chalice of prog-raunch agression"

Joining EX MODELS on the night will be BATS; whom people may have witnessed playing their dancey spazz rock supporting Gang Gang Dance, Liars, Locust and Sebadoh recently; and Limericks finest riff worshippers, SEA DOG, who will be releasing a heavy dose of rock on 12" vinyl around the time of this show.
All this enveloped in the best art rockin' music to dance to, from Skinny Wolves and guest DJs.
