i was at the thin lizzy gig the f**king things were excellent..they silenced a crowd of potential hecklers (mainly lizzy die-hards who blame punk-rock for the decline of the irish punt) and the crowd eventually really warmed to them...they were the only honest to jaysus thing about the whole night actually...no original members of lizzy..no irish people in the group..the singer/ guitarist john sykes who was more like jon bon jovi than philo announced as the crowd chanted for dancin in the moonlight that the band wouldnt be playin it cos the 'basslayer' didnt know it...a more plausable attempt at a realistic thin lizzy would have been dress paul mc grath up in a pair of leather trousers and an afro wig and teach him the bass?? maybe the thin lizzy franchise could take that suggetion on board...thats all they were short of doing.... dancin in the moonlight? dancin on philos grave more like!!!! come on the things!!!!!
