Happened upon my programme for the Cluas gig (Dec 2001) and was amazed in hindsight at how strong the bill was. Damien Rice, Damien Dempsey and The Frames have all gone on to magical heights since then. Not only that but my faves Rodrigo and Gabriela have done very well too(doing Later with Jools Holland soon I believe) and King Sativa are causing all sorts of waves now as well. Sure that line-up could sell out a bloody festival now!!! Any chance of more gigs in the future to make A&R scouts jobs easier?

Missed that gig oh for a time machine. Only came across them a few months ago but am a really big fan of Kingsativa. The Frames are great too. Dont know Damien Dempsey or Rodrigoy gabriella but i dont like Damien Rice at all even though I'm a 22 yr old girl and i'm supposed to. I think Bell X1 are good band too. xxx

i never heard anything by damien dempsey unitil i saw a programme on network 2 last night and every song he played just got better,i think hes great . sort of reminds me a little of mick head & shack

That line up does seem great. Id definitely recommend damien dempseys new album Its pure genius, and he is even better live. King Sativa always put on a good show. Damien rice, i used to be a big fan before i actually saw him live, which was a while before the album release, and he comes across so pretentious that its sickening. AS for Bell-x1, well, there on the front of the t-shirt im wearing at the moment. Anyone a fan of Colm Quearney or Charis

Good Shout! that certainly was a great night. All those bands mentioned for me make up the best acts in Ireland right now. And in reply I think Charis are great (saw them at earlier Cluas gig) Dont know much about Colm Q though
