Kling Klang (Rock Action records) with Betamax Format & E+S=B Friday March 28th The Lower Deck Free virtual compilation with entry €12, Doors 9pm http://www.ballroomofromance.com http://www.myspace.com/ballroomofromance Kling Klang Kling Klang are 5 piece heavy experimental synthesiser krautrock orchestra with amplified vintage synths, futuristic riffs, electric guitars and live drums; their first album was released at the end of last year on Mogwai's Rock action label. They were formed in mid 1999, as a 3 piece using only cheap synths and old drum machines. Since then they have used every show and release as a way to explore new dynamic ways of presenting their unique sound. Following Kling Klangs sensational performance at last years Supersonic and ATP festivals, the band is coming to Ireland. Their debut album "Esthetik of Destruction" is out now on Rock Action. Like Rocky Balboa trained by Apollo Creed, Betamax return to bring you the sound of a title fight knockout. Synth driven songs to make you WORK IT. You know this world wont save you? Betamax Format just might try. Website: http://www.betamaxformat.com Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/betamaxformat E+S=B E+S=B started sometime in 2002 and stands for Electronic Sensoria Band. They improvise around a krautrock sound. The stated intention at the beginning was to only play electronic instruments and no guitars. They also must always play masked. While a drum kit is allowed, they have managed to stick to their other principles. The line-up and what they generally play is Dave Carroll on drums, Anthony Carroll on keyboards, Fergus Cullen on effects and Adrienne Flynn on drum pad/effects. They started out mostly playing at Dublins Lazybird, but have been playing increasingly larger venues. Their highest profile and proudest show so far was as back up band to Damo Suzuki in Dublins Crawdaddy venue in March 2005. See below. In Feb 2005 they released an album on Deserted Village. The same month their track 'Milkshake' was included on the Red Bridge compilation on Risc Records. UK magazine Fader singled out the track for high praise in their review.
