It all sounds very early 80s to me.
Psychedelic Furs and Echo and the Bunnymen.
There's worse bands to rip off I suppose, but it's not very 'now'.

its an amazing album N.Y.C is a classic , seen them live in spirit a few months back and they played great

I heard about that gig alright...i heard it was brilliant....
i was kicking myself that id missed it...
Bit of a disappointment that they didnt play the irish leg
of the N.M.E. tour...

Ahhhhhh...can't believe it ...Interpol are playing in Paris the weekend I'm going to be there....€25 tho..bit dear - but missed them in Spirit so will have to go.......really good record.

yeah that's one of the albums that's on my list. anything i've heard off it was amazing.i love how intense and joy division-y it all is. noone has done that right in ages.
