The Frames aside, you have to wonder about the the very strange attitude of people to music and children. One the one hand you have Jackson and Townshend with their careers in tatters following (in Townshends case) the very hint of unproven inpropriety. On the other hand some record company is making a fortune out of Tatu, a couple of teenagers sharing a rather raunchy lesbian kiss in their school uniforms. I also understand (according to the excellent Popbitch) the girls are now 17 & 18 but the video was made in 1999. I do wonder how they got away with it. However, whilst on the subject of Tatu, look out for their cover of the Smiths 'How Soon is Now' which is rather good!
