The Chase are looking for suitable candidates to take over Management and P.R. duties of the band.

The role would be to actively promote the band and grow their existing fanbase of 30-70 to 100+ people per show aswell help manage and organise the band's debut single launch scheduled for later this year, and their debut album launch soon after.

No previous experience is required and all ages are welcome. The successful candiate should be enthusiatic, enjoy music and be ambitious enough to believe they have what it takes to bring the band to the next level and ultimately see managing the band as their full time job.

Interested candidates can contact The Chase at dublinchase@gmail.com and should include a short introduction to themselves and why they think they'd be suitable for this role.

A brief history of The Chase...

The band formed in late 2005, spent a short time rehearsing existing material already written by the band's two founding members and jumped straight into gigging soon after in early 2006.

Gigs to date have seen the band headline in all of Dublin's usual haunts such as The Hubb, Eamon Dorans, The Voodoo Lounge, Fibbers and Radio City aswell as some of Dublin's more highly regarded venues such as Crawdaddy, The Sugar Club, Whelans and The Templebar Music Centre.

They launched their debut 'Start As You Mean To Go On' 4-song E.P. in September 2006 and sold all 100 available copies on the night. Other highlights have been a write up in Connected Magazine in early 2006, being interviewed and playing live on Near FM in February 2007, and more recently being added to Flirt FM's playlist. They have also been featured in Herald AM's Gig of the Week section.

The band currently have a live set of almost 20 originals and aswell as a back catalog of almost 100 songs written by different band members over the past few years and continually write new material every month.

You can listen to their E.P. here: http://www.myspace.com/dublinchase

you guys should really have linked to http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=427428 instead of your myspace page. gives any prospective managers a more complete overview of your music, rather than just the myspace song.

and for the love of god no band in their right mind say manager with no experice welcome. a bad manager who doesnt know what he's doing will end up doing more damage to your band than helping you. case in point is Midas' naive manager in the UK and the damage he has done to them amongst the industry over there (google it)

I've actually taken the time to listen to all of your tunes on soundclick and to be bluntly honest you may have a large back catalogue of songs but if they are the qaulity (and im not talking about the sound qaulity either) of those on soundclick then the majority of that back catalogue should be permanently binned or you should seek some guidance on re-working those songs as some of them have the bones to be quite decent songs if re-worked correctly (leave it alone , come home to me, be with your smile being some examples).

anyways just trying to offer as constructive feedback as possible. try posting on a few other sites like thumped.com , gigsmartireland.com , goldenplec.com , fastfude.com or boards.ie to widening your search a bit more. best of luck anyways

actually out of curiousity out of those songs on soundclick what songs would regularly make it into your live setlist?
