Show stopper, crowd rocker, rhyme dropper, body popper. Dooley-O is hiphop personified. With a deep history in hiphop culture, Dooley-O has been an essential player on the underground rap circuit for over twenty years. As a dj and crate-digger, he has been a vital figure in the re-discovery of lost funk tracks and rare vinyl, with a collection that is widely regarded as one of the finest in the United States. His role as a mentor to the likes of label-head Egon (Stones Throw, Now & Again Records) has cemented his status as both a digger and educator. Undoubtedly the most important player on the Connecticut hiphop circle, this rapper/producer/dj makes straight-up party jams to rock shows like no other, understanding the importance of crowd interaction and sing-along choruses. His Dublin debut last year in Crawdaddy as part of the Lewis Recordings tour (Edan, Dagha, Andrew Thompson) ranked as one of the finest hiphop gigs the country has seen. His back catalogue of material on Solid Records and the Watch My Moves single on Stones Throw received critical acclaim but it was his 2005 album I Gotcha on Lewis Recordings that elevated his status as one of the most respected and loved characters in hiphop who doesn't take himself too serious. Championed for his expertly helmed gritty production and everyman lyrical perspective, his album proved that age hasn't dimmed his musical gifts. Expect straight-up party rhymes and charismatic humour from an age when hiphop was still about fun.

"This MC from Connecticut's been about for eons but we're glad he's back." - Loaded

"For anyone who appreciates pure, unadjusted hip-hop." - Big Cheese
