I tonight upgraded the Discussion board to the latest version of the software. One (temporary) consequnce of this is that the colours are gone wonky. I will be sorting this out over the weekend. In the meantime apologies it looks so poxy.

Okay, I've fixed the colours (with just a few minor colour gremlins to still sort out).

I also added in a new page with the Top 75 topics of the last year. Check it out. A permanent link to this page is also provided above there on the top right hand side.

And sure while I'm at, be aware that the old Discussion Board 'Hall of Fame' which brings together some of the very best threads from the first 3 years of the discussion board (2001 to 2004) has also been updated (the links in the Hall of Fame now actually link to the threads - imagein that).

    cheers eoghan

some great threads there, particularly in the 'hall of fame' section
let's hope now that the website seems to be running faster again and the gremlins are being weeded out, that we'll see the board getting busier and get a few of the old regulars posting once more

Cheers alameda, i am pretty sure that recent changes will help get the board back up to the pace it was at before (the absolutely necvessary) upgrade. And BTW, there are more changes to come, check back tomorrow a.m. to see the next batch.

The real value of the new technolgy we moved the site to back in Novebember is only now beginning to pay divedends. It was always a move motivated by longer term needs. And moving a site to a new platform always has some negative - but short term - impact on its users. One ongoing example of that is Blogorrah who have been out of action for at least one week longer than they thought with their upgrade. It's no cake walk as we certainly found out 'round these parts this last while! But it is worth the pain.

    Cheers for the paitience!
