Anyone at the Malajube / Dark Room Notes gig in Crawdaddy last night? I thought Dark Room Notes were excellent again and they're bringing some new material into their set since the last time I saw them - definitely one of the few really good Irish bands to watch at the moment. They also emptied the smoking/beer garden on a sunny evening as the majority of the crowd came in to see them, which I was surprised at. Malajube were really great, just natural, relaxed performers - their extensive live experience translating into a cheerful repartee with the crowd. I haven't got any of their recordings, but based on last night I'll have to check it out. Francophone Prog Rock is the future!
