Belfast boy Davey Mcmanus' band, The Crimea, have just released their second album "Secrets of the Witching Hour" as a FREE DOWNLOAD. The whole album is completely free, and available at http://www.thecrimea.net I think it's great! Colin Murray played a track on Radio 1 last night (their his favourite band apparently) A free album!!

There's been 19,000 downloads so far - and it's only been released this week. Plan is to increase the fan-base and not have to rely on promoters etc. Good luck to them! www.thecrimea.net

I liked their last album. Nothing amazing, but some nice tunes in their. 'Lottery Winners On Acid' is fantastic.

That's an insanely brilliant idea, I've downloaded it and will have a listen whenever I get through all my other new cds. I've been on their mailing list since way back when The Crimea were The Crocketts, but still haven't heard anything by the new band. Fair play to them for just giving it away, a ballsy move.
